Data Lab Calendar
The DMSB Data opens MONDAY ~ THURSDAY, 10 AM - 5 PM and FRIDAY, 10 AM - 3 PM. During the open hours, Data Lab provides both (1) drop-in (in-person) sessions at DMSB Room 227 and (2) virtual sessions at Blackboard Collaborate Ultra. For a drop-in session, you can simply walk in to the Room 277. For a virtual session, you need to signup at tinyurl.com/SignupDataLab first, and forward the Signup email (that you receive automatically from the system) to the Data Lab manager with your date/time to visit. The email address of the Data Lab manager is on the Signup email. You need to forward the email by Friday before the week you want to visit. You cannot request your virtual session on any day in the current week. For example, if today is Wednesday then the earliest virtual session you can request would be next Monday.
Each virtual session is 30 minutes long and at least a couple of Data Lab assistants will moderate each session for visitors. Since virtual sessions are offered by Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, you need to be familiar with it. If not, please visit the Blackboard Help and watch a video tour (Blackboard Collaborate with the Ultra Experience User Interface Tour). Please note that Blackboard Collaborate Ultra has an advantage of allowing several parties to participate simultaneous to a video conference. However, all participants to a conference must understand and acknowledge that if multiple users are connected through Blackboard Collaborate Ultra at any one time, all participants may see and view one another. Hence, there can be no claim or expectation of privacy. Therefore, any image of a participant shown may be subject to view by multiple parties and these images could be copied by means of a digital photograph or video recording. By clicking one of the session links below, you acknowledge that you have received and fully understand this disclosure and consent to images of you to be disclosed through Blackboard Collaborate Ultra. The Data Lab and the Data Lab staff will have no control over actions of other participants in a Blackboard Collaborate Ultra session. The Data Lab and the Data Lab staff shall be absolutely and completely released and relieved of any liability whatsoever by reason of any unauthorized copying or duplication of the image of you during the virtual session.
Please see the chart below for lab hours and the Data Lab Calendar for staffs' availability.
