The Data Lab offers several ways to get answers, depending on your needs.
Personalized help with data and analysis?
Come visit us in the Data Lab! There, our staff can help answer your questions.
Note: In order to utilize the staff's time, you must have already worked through relevant course materials and have made an honest and legitimate attempt at the task at hand. Under no circumstances is the Data Lab to be used as a substitute for missing class or for lack of preparation on your part.
Technical clarifications by email?
Sometimes, you may have a short, simple question that can be addressed via email. If so, send us an email ([email protected]).
Note: Data Lab staff will answer emails when time permits. Coming by the lab in person is the quickest way to get questions answered. This feature is offered as a convenience, so if you have a time-sensitive question, please look elsewhere or adjust your expectations.
Questions for instructors (grading, policies, etc.)?
If you have a question specific to your section - related to class policies, assignment details, grades, etc. - please reach out to your instructor. The Data Lab staff will not be able to help with administrative details for your course.
Note: The Data Lab is your source for technical help with tools and analysis. Instructors will refer you back to the lab with general questions about R, Excel, etc.
